My Shepherd

The LORED is my shepherd; I shall not want. –Ps. 23:1

?Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” (John 10:11). Jesus is our good shepherd, and we are His sheep. He loved us so much that He gave His life so that we can spend eternity with Him. A shepherd watches over the flock, guiding them, protecting them, and providing for them.
How many times do we feel that we are in need of something that we don’t have? That fear is especially true when we consider what the future may hold. Those fears and desires come from our humanness. God has promised to provide for us. “And my God shall supply all your need …” (Phil. 4:19). He holds nothing that we truly need back from us. No matter what is happening, He provides exactly what we need. Therefore, we have no reason to be anxious.
?The problem is that many times we want more than we actually need. Sometimes we want something that would not be good for us. God sees the whole picture and even if something doesn’t appear harmful to us, it may not be the best thing.
“Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.” (Ps. 34:9-10). Our good shepherd will provide everything we will ever need. Let’s submit to His will and trust our shepherd.
